"Hi my name is Stacie Royer and I am a career specialist in Austin, Texas. I'm going to talk to you today about becoming a Anesthesiologist. You'll need to know that you have a love and passion for working with all different types of patients. You can work in a hospital setting or even a doctor's office setting. What you'll need to do is start off with obtaining your undergraduate degree in preferably pre-medicine. That will provide you with the necessary biology and chemistry courses that you'll need. You'll go from there to take your medical state exam to try to get accepted in to medical school. Once you've pass that exam and get accepted in medical school, and obtain your medical degree then you'll need to provide four years of an anesthesiologist residency. After that four years then you can take the state exam which is a written and or oral exam in front of the board of anesthesiologists and obtain a license of your own."
