"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews, today I'm going to show you how to trace an Internet website to a physical location. To do so, lets click on the start button and then right above your start button, lets type in CMD. If you're on WindowsXP you'll have to click on the Run button and then type CMD and press enter, it brings up the command prompt. Now, lets look up the website that we want to locate, lets run the program NS look up. The NS look up program is going to allow us to look up the IP address of any website, lets type in a website to look up. As you could see, we got an answer back saying that the IP my website is 209.85.26.191 and lets trace that to a physical location. Click on the start button again and then right above you type CMD, one more time, and that pulls up another window. Lets move that to where we can see that IP address and we're going to run a program called Trace Route. Type Trace Route, CRACERT, and then type in the IP address that was returned. What this is going to do is it's going to trace through the Internet and every single router that it comes across, it's going to return the name of that router. As you get to the major routers, it's going to show names like City names, such as, Nashville, Atlanta, etc., this is how you will trace your IP to a physical location. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to trace an Internet website to a physical location."
