"Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we are going to talk about how to crate train a dog. The first thing about crate training is crate dogs should eat and drink their water in the crate. Granted we don't have the water container here now but I do like to use especially for the smaller dogs a rabbit feeder or a water bottle on the outside of the cage. It always keeps them moisturized, never dehydrated and it is a great way and they can't mess the cage up with it. Food should only go down for ten minutes and first thing in the morning they should go out to the bathroom, five to seven minutes, bring them in, feed them in, give them ten minutes to eat, take them out again within a half an hour. You are going to see once you get this dog on a consistent schedule how fast they pick it up. You take them to the same potty place every time. This is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training."
