"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews, and today I'm going to show you how to manage user accounts in Windows Vista. To begin, let's click on the Vista start menu here which is this little round button. And from here click on the control panel. Control panel has a lot of options for managing your computer, but the one that we're most interested in is the users manager, which is... user accounts is what it's labeled. To change another user other than yourself you want to click on manage another account. Here is the list of accounts on the computer. William is the one that we're going to manage, let's click on his name, and to change his user permissions, click on change the account type. Now there are two types of user permissions you can have in Windows Vista. Number one is a standard user. A standard user is not allowed to change any global settings on the computer such as install software. An administrator is allowed to change those global software - global settings. We're going to make him an administrator because he was a standard user, so just select administrator and click change account type. It's that easy. Let's say we want to manage another account, just click on manage another account, and we want to change Andrew's settings. Once again just click on change the account type, and let's make him an administrator. Well he already is an administrator, and you notice it grayed out the change account type because of that, so let's turn him into a standard user. It's that easy to use this account management tool. My name is Dave Andrews, and I just showed you how to manage user accounts in Windows Vista."
