"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews, today I'm going to show you how to make your computer start faster. Let's go to the computer, the first thing you're going to want to check is the programs that launch when your computer starts up. To do so, click on the start button, go to all programs, let's go to the start up field, right click on it, and say open. These are the programs or files that are going to open up when I log into my computer. To keep those from coming up which would slow down my computer, let's just delete them out of the startup. All I'm doing is clicking on them and pressing the delete key on my keyboard. Now that the startup folder is empty, let's close, and go to a little more advanced tip. Click on the start button again, go to run, and let's type MSconfig, Microsoft config, press okay. In MSConfig there is a tab that says startup. These are all the programs that start up when my computer starts up, but aren't in the startup folder. They're more like background tasks. And most of these though not all of them will end up in my systray down here at the button on my start bar. To keep them from starting all you have to do is uncheck them. And then select apply. This will not take effect until you reboot your computer, but when you're done, say close and restart. You'll see it comes up much faster. My name is Dave Andrews, and I showed you how to make your computer start faster."
