"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews and today I'm going to show you how to make Windows Vista look and run faster. To begin lets go wit the way that would make it go extremely fast and that is to change it to the classic look. Right click on your desktop somewhere, click on personalize, now select theme. Now under this theme drop down box lets select Windows Classic and press apply. When you turn on Windows Classic this turns off a lot of the effects that Windows Vista comes built in with, such as minimizing, maximizing, animations, transparent windows, and it will extremely speed up the look of your computer. A more advanced tip is to delete anything that starts up when your computer starts up. To do that click on the start button, go to all programs, and under this you'll see a list, under the startup window. Now mine is empty but a lot of PC's right when you buy them, come with many programs loaded in the startup group. If there was anything in there I wanted to clear out, I would just right click on it and select delete. Now don't delete the entire startup folder, just the items under it. What that will do is keep those programs from coming up when you launch your computer. To do something very advanced click under here in this start search and lets type MSCONFIG. Microsoft Config and press enter. This is a very useful tool but one of the tabs it has is called startup. These are all the hidden programs that launch when your computer starts up, as you can see there's a bunch of them and if you will uncheck every one of these, or at least the ones that you know you don't use and then press apply, those programs will no longer start up when your computer starts up. This will greatly increase the speed of your computers booting time. This system configuration and the startup method and changing the windows theme to classic is a very useful tool for speeding up your computer. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just showed you how to make Windows Vista start up and run faster."
