"Hi. My name is Dave Andrews. Today, I'm going to show you how to transfer files from another PC to your Windows Vista PC. Sometimes we have files that we'd like to move between computers, and we don't have a network connection between those two computers. So, what I would like to use here is a Compaq Flash Card Reader. You could also use a Thumb Drive, which is a little device about that large. It is USB. This is USB, as well. You can burn to a CD, but usually using some sort of USB media is the quickest and easiest way to transfer files. So I'm going to plug this in. And on this PC, it's going to pop up asking me what I'd like to do with the removable disk that I've just entered. I'm going to come down to the bottom, and I'm going to select "Open folder to view files". What I want to do here is create a new folder. That way, our files don't get lost in the folders that are already there. And I'm just going to call this "From PC". So let's go into that folder. I want to grab my "Budget" and my "Pictures" folder. All I have to do to copy them over is get it to where I can see both of these windows at once. And you notice that I can resize it and move it. I want to grab the "Budget", click and hold the mouse down, and just move over here. And it copies it. I'm going to do the exact same thing for "Pictures". Click and hold the mouse down, and drag it over here. Those two folders are now stored on the Compaq Flash. Let's close these windows, and we'll transfer them over to the Vista PC. To do so, I'm going to unplug my Compaq Flash. I'm going to bring it over here. I'm going to plug it into the Vista computer. Now Vista will do something very similar, where it'll pop up asking you what you would like to do with the new disk that you've just entered. I'm going to, once again, select "Open folder to view files". And here you can see the folders that are on the Compaq Flash. I'm going to go to "From PC". There's my "Budget" folder. And there's my "Pictures" folder. I can do the exact same thing as I did on the other computer. Hold the mouse down, and just drag it onto my desktop. And I can do the same thing for "Pictures". This removable disk, as you can see, can be a very effective tool for transferring files between computers. My name is Dave Andrews, and I've just showed you how to transfer files from another PC to your Microsoft Vista PC."
