"Are you recycling yet? We all do. At this point in time, it's pretty important. Well, how do you salvage a bad date? This is Dr. Paul, Author of Boomer Girls, A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating. You can recycle a bad date. I didn't say a bad person, I said a bad date. There's a difference, alright? You have a date and it goes badly. You went to a restaurant, the food is just not up to par. Although last time you were there, it was. Something changed. Okay, how to salvage a bad date is very simple. You recycle it and you have a sense of humor. Don't become tragic, don't become stubborn, don't become angry, please don't take it out on the waitress, it only makes you look bad. Whether it's a man or a woman, that date is recyclable. You may say, "hey look, you know. Let's face it. This food is really awful, wasn't it. Let's run down to the beach and get a hamburger or a hot dog or something". And walk down to the beach. At least it would be different, but hey, we'll make the best of a bad situation. People like that. You recover. Whether it's a man or a woman. And you might suggest, "I know you meant well and it wasn't good or the entertainment wasn't hot, but look, I understand". So have a sense of humor, be understanding, and who knows, this might be the love of your life. This is Dr. Paul. May your fantasies of today be your realities of tomorrow."
