"Ladies, subtlety works with your friends. But how to tell him how much you love him. This is Dr. Paul, author of Boomer Girls: A Boomer Woman's Guide to Men and Dating and host of Ask Dr. Paul. The way we do this is to do it directly, not subtley. And you do it by actions, not just words. But you do it with words, indeed. Touching is very important. Men don't get complimented. Have you ever noticed that in the American society. Men don't get compliments. As soon as you compliment a man, they're off balance. They're off guard. I remember a case where a lady was once told she had very beautiful legs. And she responded by saying, "Well thank you, darling. You have very good taste." Wow. When you compliment a man, that tells him a lot more than anything else. Try sending flowers to a man sometime. You may be shocked. Okay? So the way in which you tell him is oftentimes the way in which you show him. This is different. Always be the different one. Be aware of the fact that you need to tell him, and do it in many ways. Okay? Touching, you know, reach out and touch someone. Well that's the way it works. This is Dr. Paul. And may your fantasies of today be your realties of tomorrow."
