"Hi, I'm Amy McCauley, and I'm going to discuss with you how to gain weight. You want to consume more calories than you burn. So, you're going to be eating all day long. Normal--it's about a two thousand calorie diet, so you want to probably try to do about a three thousand to six thousand calories diet, eating healthy foods that are the good fats, the Omega-3 fatty acids. Those are found in tuna, salmon, flax seed, walnuts--good source of vitamin Cs, and legumes, and nuts. Healthy carbohydrates which are fruits, vegetables, whole grains. Those are the kinds of feeds you want to intake. You're going to want to try to get protein shakes, protein bars in as much as possible. Again, we want to go back to the general rule of thumb of eating five or six meals throughout the day. Again, try to keep your calories intake higher than you average normally would. Again, three to six thousand calories. And not as much activity so that you will put on the weight. You don't want to burn more than you're taking in. And that's how you gain weight."
