"Hi my name is Dr. Art Bowler and I am a psychologist at Manhattan New York City where I have my own private practice. In this clip I am going to talk about how to keep your New Year's Resolution. New Year's Resolutions are inherently tough. You have probably seen it around the news that most people don't keep their New Year's Resolutions and I believe that is because most people set their goals way too high. In terms of setting goals we want our gaols to be reasonable, that is easily measured, not too demanding of ourselves and something that we can attain because once we attain that goal we want it to be positively reinforced. A lot of people set goals around weight. That is a difficult goal because we don't always have the ability to maintain and manage our metabolism. I say set a goal where we say we are going to exercise three times a week and hold yourself to that and that way it is a reasonable goal especially if you have not exercised for a number of years and it is something that is easily measured so whenever we set a goal make it easily measured so you can support yourself when you actually do it. This is Dr. Art Bowler and this has been how to keep your New Year's Resolution."
