Video Transcript

"Hi. My name is Dr. Art Bowler. And I'm a psychologist in Manhattan, New York City, where I have my own private practice. In this clip we're going to talk about how to build your self esteem and how to learn to love yourself. Building your self esteem is based on building your sense of self efficacy. Or the degree to which you believe you can do something. You can have high self esteem or low self esteem. Depending on whether or not you, you feel or find that you can do things well or not so well. Some of us have given talents and given traits that lend us to higher self esteem. And some of us it takes a little bit longer and more trial and effort to find what we're good at. But building your self esteem really has a lot to do with doing what you're good at and getting the natural reward from that. Learning to love ourselves is quite a goal. But learning to love yourself involves learning to love and accept your flaws, your abilities and what makes you, you. Doing so will make you a happier, healthier person. This is Dr. Art Bowler and this has been building your self esteem and learning to love yourself."
