"Hi, my name is James Flint, and now I'm going to show you how you can copy a playlist onto a DVD. This is important to know how to copy a playlist onto a DVD as opposed to a CD because sometimes a playlist that you've made are much longer than an actual DVD can - or an actual CD can hold, but a DVD being you know four gigabytes or more of storage, you could have a really, really long playlist. So I'm going to insert a blank DVD into my disk drive, and I'm going to launch iTunes. I've already got a playlist created, this one's just called Party. And as you can see, it's pretty long, forty-four or forty-five tracks. This definitely would not fit onto a CD. A CD you can generally get from like ten to twenty tracks. So we're going to go to our iTunes preferences and make sure in our advanced tab under burning, we're going to make sure, sorry, that was just telling us that the DVD is ready to record. We're going to change it to a data CD or DVD, this way, we're able to copy this large playlist onto a DVD. So, now when I'm looking at my playlist, you'll see in the bottom righthand corner there is a button that says burn data disk, so we can click on that and it says you have inserted a blank DVD, are you sure you wish to create a data DVD? And we are, so we're going to click data DVD. And it's going to check the playlist and start copying all the files from our playlist onto a DVD. We got a problem here in that one of the songs is no longer on our iTunes, so we'll just say okay. That's why it checks it for you, it's to make sure that all the files are ready to be copied. It's important to know how to copy a playlist onto a DVD because like I said before, if you have a playlist that's too long, it's not going to fit on a CD, but also a lot of modern technology, most component systems are switching to where you will play your music off of a DVD as opposed to a CD. You still can use a copy of a playlist onto a CD, but generally people are using DVDs nowadays because again, most of the components are capable of playing DVDs, and again you just get the freedom to add so many more tracks. So now you know how to copy a playlist onto a DVD."
