"Do you find yourself thirsty all the time? Maybe during your workouts, or when you're working out in the yard, or cleaning out the garage? Hi, my name is Jani Roberts, and I'm a Certified Personal Trainer, and also a graduate of the American Academy of Nutrition. Today, I'd like to share some tips with you, in regard to dehydration. One of the most important things to understand about dehydration, is that if you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated, so the key to preventing it, is to not allow yourself to get thirsty in the first place. Hydrate frequently when you're exercising, or working outside. It's really important. Don't wait until you're really parched. If you hydrate with about four ounces of water, and then rotate that with four ounces of an electrolyte replenisher. This should really work to keep you hydrated throughout your workout. It will also keep you from, in the athletic world, hitting the wall. This is where we just find ourselves running on empty, so taking in a few calories in the forms of a simple sugar, something that's empowered with a simple electrolyte, will really make the difference, and help prevent that dehydration, but remember, the key is do it before you're thirsty. I'm Jani Roberts. Thanks for joining."
