"Hi I'm James, computer hardware training coordinator for InterConnection and I'm going to show you how to upgrade your video card. This is our old card. This is our new card. It's quite a bit more powerful than the old one. Typical rule of thumb if you're building a computer for gaming or video editing, you usually want to spend about as much money on your video card as you do on your processor for your computer. Now, to install our new card you're going to notice a few things right off the bat. One, we have a power connector here. The reason this is is because this card actually takes so much power we need extra power from the power supply just to power it. So now let's install this card. Now the video card, the one we have here, installs in your AGP slot. That's right here. Don't try to install a card like in one of these PCI slots, it's first off probably not going to fit. Now you want to take this card and gently insert it into here. Once it's in you're going to want to plug the power connector into the back. Now all we have to do is install the screws and there you are. You're video card is installed. One final thing to keep in mind is a lot of these new video cards have drivers that have to be installed to get optimum performance, make sure you have these drivers. You also might want to go online and type the model number of the video card, type in download drivers to make sure you have the latest drivers. Because a lot of these high-end video card manufacturers are always updating their drivers. My name is James and just showed you how to install a video card."
