"Hi, I'm Jason, former MAC addict, and we're going to look at how to change the date and time on your MAC operating system. Let's go. What we're going to do to access this is system preferences, and we are going to go down to our system panel here, this area of icons that we want to click on is date and time. And if you're hooked up to a network you can click on set date and time automatically and that will correspond with the field you see here. To uncheck this box you can set your time manually and the date manually. See you would just click here and enter a number on your keypad, click here and enter a number on your keypad for the day or the date. The same goes for the time and this field, this field, and this field. AM and PM is here, and you can use this scroll, these little arrows to kind of scroll, change the time. Or you can use the hands on the clock. You can just kind of drag the clock where you want it. And the date works the same way, and you say save and it saves it. Another way to do it is - there's also a time zone panel in here, and the time zone if you just type in Denver it'll put up Denver time zone. Cupertino. And that's how you set your time zones. In your clock, the easier settings for your clock, if you do not want your clock to appear up here, you just uncheck the show the date and time box, if you do, then click it. And you can view it in the menu bar or its own separate window, which we see it appears here like that. We're going to have it appear in the menu bar. You have digital and analog. Digital is digital time and analog, you see a little icon of a round clock up here. It's kind of hard to see so I like to use the digital. And you've got some different options here that you can go ahead and play with. Flash time separators use a twenty-four hour clock if you're military. And you can also have your system announce the time on the hour, on the half hour, on the quarter hour. And these options are kind of fun to play with, but note that if you are working and you're kind of moving along on a project and suddenly a voice will pop up announcing the time it can be a little jarring depending on how your system volume is set. These are the system voices, see if we can her to...so that would be our voice that would announce the time if we chose that but we're not going to because we like to work in a calm environment. So I'm going to close that and that is how you set the date and time on your Macintosh operating system. I'm Jason, former MAC genius, see you next time."
