How to Purchase an Extended Vehicle Warranty

"The topic today is how to buy an extended vehicle warranty. Alright, you might ask yourself, "What is an extended warranty and why do I need this thing?" Extended warranties cover they're they're various things you can buy. They're like insurance. You can buy a power train warranty. You can buy a power train plus warranty. Or you can buy something that covers the whole darn car. There's deductibles from zero all the way up to two hundred dollar deductible. So when you're buying an extended warranty, you need to make sure you know what you're talking about because that's where a dealer can really take advantage of you. Or make sure you just get what your value is. You want to get the value of your extended warranty. Now one thing you will know after thirty six thousand miles on most warranties are going to be ineffective for you to buy one. So you want to purchase it before you hit thirty thousand miles on your new vehicle or used vehicle. But once it hits thirty six thousand miles on most cars, it's going to be out of manufacturer warranty. So that's when you want to purchase it. And you really don't need it 'till then because you're covered. So what I would suggest you do is know what you want. If you want just a power train warranty, that's the one that cost the least. But it it it takes care of the most components. The transmission, the engine, anything that's going to cost you two or three thousand dollars. And you know you can buy a fifty dollar deductible, a hundred dollar deductible, or two hundred dollar deductible. Just make sure you know what you're talking about when you go into the dealership to buy one."
