How to Convert Protected Audio Files to MP3 Format

"Hi I'm Charles Stewart Jr., and I'm going to show you how to rip protected audio files into an MP3 format. This first I want to say this isn't technically legal. It's kind of a a debate on both camps. A lot of people feel if you've purchased the music, you should be able to do what you want with it. But the law says you know you only can do so much with that. So technically you're not supposed to do this. But again it's a gray area, and I'll let you decide for yourself what you think is OK to do. But what you want to do is you want to burn your make a list for this case I've already taken the Lincoln Park CD I've had and burned it that I purchased off iTunes. And I burned it onto a CD. So I burned the whole CD onto a CD-R that I could play in my car. So I mean I bought it electronically, and I burned it onto a CD-R that I can take with me in my car. And but now let's say I want to put it onto a I don't have an iPod I have a you know Zune or something and Zune will not take the the the file format that iTunes store recorded it in. Well the best way to do that is to put your CD back in. And as you can see I've already done that. It's in there, and it's ask from there you can pretty much import that CD. Right there at the bottom of iTunes there's an import CD button. And you just click import CD. Now to make sure it's importing in the format that you want which is an MP3 which is a good universal format for just about any player. You'll go to the preferences pane. And go to your advanced tab and look under the importing tab. From there is where you would choose which how you want to bring in files from there. Like whether you're importing CD or just dragging files into iTunes. So I've chosen MP3 with a hundred and ninety-two kilo-bits per second which is a a really good quality to have. And then you just hit OK. So now when I hit import CD, it's going to start importing those songs. And you can pretty much apply this to any protected content. Again it's not it's not really legal. So again it's up to you whether you want to do this or not. But this is one way to go about doing it if you're trying to transfer protected content into an MP3 format."
