How to Apply Eyeliner

"Hi my name is Lauren with Makeup By Dodge and today we will be talking about how to apply eyeliner. So there are different kinds of eyeliner. There's stick eyeliner, there's liquid eyeliner which is only for the expert users I believe. And there is also some powder eyeliner that you can use. I prefer to keep with the stick and then I add on powder afterward. So when you start with an eyeliner make sure that it's sharpened fully because you will get your best results when it's sharpened. If you start towards the outside of the eye and then make feathering like strokes connecting each of the dots at the lash-line of your eye. It can be a little thicker towards the corner. But it really needs to thin out around the inside corner of your eye. Now after you've applied your eyeliner like such, it's not blended yet. And the biggest rule of makeup is you have to blend. So find some eyeshadow that corresponds with the color of the eyeliner. Take an angled brush. Look down please. And then just kind of blend. Just blend your eyeliner until you can't really tell that it's a stick. That's the biggest secret. A lot of women walk around with their eyeliner just all over their face, and it's probably because they didn't set it with their eyeshadow. But it's good to do your eyeshadow first and then your eyeliner after and then another little bit of eyeshadow over it. And that eyeshadow color can be your contouring color, it can be whatever color that you think looks best. There you have some eyeliner. Simple easy way to do it."
