"Hi! My name is Otis St. Clair and today I'm here to talk to you about training routines for football. We're in the weight room today and what we're going to be doing is working our big muscles to smaller muscles. We're going to start with the basic three core exercises that you need for football training which will be squats, power clings and bench press. Let's go over here to squats first and I can show you some basic techniques and exercises that you can do. When you're doing squats, the best thing to do is rest the bar on the top of your shoulders, right above your back. And when you're going to go down until your legs are parallel with the floor. I'll do a couple just to show you some good routines and exercises. Now, squats is going to do your lower body muscles, your leg muscles, to make you stronger and faster. Now let's move on to power clings. The main goal of power clings is to develop power, strength and explosiveness. So what we're going to do is take the bar from the floor, rest it on our thighs and make an explosive movement from our thighs to our chest. Again, the main thing for power clings is to develop explosiveness and power. Our last exercise we're going to is the bench press. The bench press is going to develop your upper body strength. It's going to work your chest, your shoulders and your arms. So if you're blocking for football, you're able to get that block off of you and move on and score a touchdown. And that's the bench press. So if you want to get stronger, and you're looking for a good training routine for football, you should do those three exercises: Three sets of about 10 to 12 repetitions. My name's Otis and that's how you do a training routine for football."
