Series Summary

Many people want to lose weight. Yet, despite claims for quick fat burning pills and powders, the best way to lose weight is still through proper diet and exercise. Exercise does more than just maintain physical fitness. Working out improves bone density, muscle strength and joint mobility. Being fit also reduces general health risks, boosts the immune system and helps with depression and insomnia. Whether exercising is to lose weight or improve muscle mass, working out promotes a healthy body and mind. In this free video on muscle exercises, fitness specialist Bob Mathews discusses how to tone and build muscle. Mathews begins by explaining how to tone the calf muscles and pectoral muscles. He discusses other muscle-related topics, such as: how to get toned, define the upper arms, build abdominals, develop lean arms, get a six pack, lose muscle mass and how to get rid of flabby outer thighs. Eating healthy and exercising are key to producing these desired effects. Watch these videos and learn to tone and build muscle today.

"Hi I'm Bob Mathews with Power One K Body Shaping Program and I want to change the way you think about fitness. So you want to tone your calves. Calves are very very difficult to produce results with because they are used since you were born. They have been used to propel you through life every single day in every activity you do. So they're going to take a little bit more attention if you will. What I recommend is you have three ways of going about calves. You have obviously the straight up and you have the one where your toes are touching and then you have the one that is out like this so what I do is every time I go to the gym if it is three days a week, four days a week, two days a week whatever it is I do, I do my calves every time I go and I rotate between the three positions. Now if you don't have a gym and you are maybe at home doing home programming that's fine too because you can still do this, this, and this on a stair. So all you have to do is hold on to the little rail that you'll be walking upstairs and you can also do it on your stairs. If you don't have stairs go out to the street, maybe you'll start a little following in your neighborhood. You can do it on the curb. Hold on to your mailbox. Now that is pretty three simple ways to do it but again also whether I talked about doing it every time you go to the gym, you would in turn have to go out and maybe do 20, 30, maybe 40 of those every time you pick up the mail. That might be pretty cool, just grab your mail, do 30, 40reps and then walk in the house. Just remember to rotate it around so you create that nice shape at the end of the day, alright? Good luck."
