"This is financial adviser Patrick Munro, talking about what is an equity fund. Equity by its very nature, ask the individual to think about an investor who places money into an investment, and then becomes an owner of a certain amount of shares that are given back to that investor for the amount of money that he put up. This is equity investing, and if it's done correctly, and the fund begins to grow in value, it will redeclare dividends, and therefore you as the investor will have more equity, more ownership of that particular company, and, or fund. This is a great way to build wealth. Equity of course is an important management tool for all investors. This is an important area as well, because it can generate retirement income for the investor going forward into the retiring years as well. Equity is an important factor in the building of wealth. This is Patrick Munro financial adviser, talking about equity investing."
