"I just wanted to speak briefly about the role of medication in treating behavior problems. So, it has a behavior problem, first thing you want to do is rule out any medical problems that might be causing it. So take your cat to the veterinarian, get a full exam and perhaps some blood work, depending on your veterinarian's recommendations. And if your cat is healthy, then you can go back through this series and look at the tips and tricks that I've given you. Try different types of litter, do a litter box trial. Get your scratching posts and pads ready. Protect your environment the way you can. Make sure that there are plenty of resources around the house so you're...aggression between cats is minimized. You can use your pheromone sprays, and if that still isn't enough, then there are several different medications that are currently being used that your veterinarian can prescribe to help treat your animal to...so that it will become less aggressive or less anxious. This field of behavioral pharmacology or medication for veterinary patients is continually developing. So there are always new products that are coming out that can help your cat to feel more in control and less anxious or less aggressive in the household."
