"Hi this is Aaron Hale at Fitness for Life in Wilmington, North Carolina offering a few suggestions on different work outs that we can do using the treadmill. Number 1 - if we're going to talk about beginners, we want to change, we want to pick up our pace to not seeing any more changes. Increase your speeds. Challenge yourself a little bit. If that's not working for you, play with the elevation grade. Change the incline on the treadmill a little bit. Fluctuate how to. And that will help to work on your cardiovascular strength. And you're also probably see a lot more changes or the changes you're looking for. With immediate people, we want to change the way we rung. Let's say we got an up coming 5 K and we want to change our time. We want to have a better time on our next 5 K. Interval sprint training where we're really putting out a lot of high energy. Really running at a high rate in a sprint. And then we drop back to a recovery. That sort of training method has proven over time to really increase your pace and your time. Especially 4 or 5 K. Even marathon runners as well. The sprint training the interval training has really been a proven method to increase time and pace even in a very short interval. For marathon runners, people doing it, there's even more things that we could do using the treadmill to help keep us moving. It will also help us, give us a place where we can go and work out and we won't have to be outdoors all the time because eventually, over time we don't want to run outside. Even if we're doing, even if we're training for a marathon, we have to be outside quite a bit, but at the same time, we don't have to put or bodies in that position where we're putting our joints and our muscles in jeopardy by running outside all the time. Treadmill is a great little alternative. We can get in our cardio workouts without have to subject ourselves to the elements of outside. This has been Aaron Hale at Fitness for Life with a couple of suggestions on treadmill workouts."
