"Hello, my name is Tom Brintzenhofe. I'm a certified master mechanic, from Reading, Pennsylvania, and today, I'm going to talk to you a little bit about how to eliminate rust, from your vehicle. Unfortunately, this old Ford Jeep we have here, doesn't have any rust on it, but we're going to pretend it's got a spot on it. I'm going to show you real quick how to do this. It's just as simple as painting your house, but what you would want to do, is grab yourself some sandpaper. Grind it, whatever you want to do. We'll pretend the rust is right here. Sand this down nice and smooth. Eliminate as much rust, as you possibly can, to get it nice and smooth, and you want to take this rust converter, you can find it at a lot of different part stores locally. You should wear gloves, unfortunately, I don't have any with me, so I'm going to be a bad boy today. Pour a little of this in your cup. You see it comes out a nice shade of gray. Try not to get this on your hands, as much as possible. You take your paint brush, you dip it in here, and then you just gently, you don't need a lot, just a little bit to cover your area, just like painting a wall in your house. Let it dry. Once this dries, it's going to turn nice and black on you. Once it's nice and black, and all you have to do is grab your sandpaper again, sand over it real nice. Make it nice and smooth. They make other products, in case you have some dimples out there, to get into bodywork, but we're not going to focus on that too much. Sand it down, until it's nice and smooth. If you get it nice enough, that you're satisfied with it, then you can actually paint right on top of this rust converter, and you're good to go. This is actually made by a company called Klean- Strip, Rust Converter. It's found at your local Auto Zone, Advanced Auto Parts. Napa carries it, just about any parts store out there. You're not going to find it at your local Wal-Mart, though. Safety precautions, when you're using this with a paint brush, make sure you wear your safety glasses. You should have gloves on. Again, it's nasty stuff. If you get it on your plastic clear lenses, you want to get it off of there, as soon as possible. It will eat right through them. You want to keep this off anything that's, like your bumper, that's gray, black mirrors. Try not to spill on anything, other than the area you're putting it on. It's real nasty stuff. It's real hard to get off. It dries to a perfect primer, sand it down, paint it, and you're good to go, not much to it."
