"Hello my name is Hector Inga owner of Lane Four Swim Shop here in Austin, Texas and I am here to talk to you about swimming fins. Swimming fins are a little bit different than your snorkeling fines or scuba fins where those are longer and can give you a lot of proportion. Swimming fins are specifically for training and this is for instance a Speedo fin that is a regular sized fin right here on my right. Also there is a different style of fin this is called a Zoomer and this is also known as a high speed training fin. Bigger fins tend to slow your kick down and give you a little more proportion, however, they slow your kick down a little bit and you know muscle memory and if you want to go racing you don't want to be kicking slow so that is what they came around with a shorter blade fins that allows you to kick more of a training or a race pace and this is the difference between this too. Now also in 2007 Speedo came up with this other style of training fin very specific and it is called a breast stroke fine that has the side as you know breast strokers do a frog kick with your legs and then close them fast that is giving you the proportion. With this it helps you train your legs to do that and it also gives you a lot of ankle flexibility to the outside and in kicking this is where the training fins come in place is to help your ankle be very flexible and that is one of the weakest part of the stroke of any beginner swimmer so this really helps in their training."
