Pimples are caused by blockages in your pores, which show up as swollen bumps. I'm Jackie Silver from Aging Backwards, with how to avoid pimples. Most people get a pimple now and then, but recurring or multiple pimples, are termed acne. For severe or painful pimples, always check with your doctor. There are ways to avoid getting pimples, and keeping your face exfoliated, is your first defense. Pimples form when dead skin cells attempt to slough off, but they can't, because they're blocked from the pores. These blockages are commonly caused by overproduction of oil, by the sebaceous glands, which normally work to keep the skin healthy. Dirt and infection in the pore can lead to blockage. To avoid getting pimples, gently exfoliate the skin with a product specifically formulated for oily, or combination skin. Using a mud mask once a week, can also help keep the skin clean. Avoiding stress is another effective way to avoid pimples, and also, avoid touching your face too often, especially if your hands are dirty. For women, washing your makeup brushes and sponges frequently, will help minimize dirt and bacteria, that can contribute to pimples. Remember, to avoid pimples, keep your face clean, and remember to exfoliate gently. Use products formulated for oily or combination skin, and try to avoid touching your face too often.
