"You know, one important position on the court that you can actually take, that can give you options is called the "triple threat." Hi, I'm Travis and this is exactly how to do that triple threat, and what advantages it gives you. The triple threat, there's a reason it's called triple threat, because there's three options that you have. When you catch the ball in a triple threat position which looks like this, you want, what you want to do is, you want to protect the ball, and that gives you the option of either passing it here, could be here, here, but when you're in that triple threat position, once you move that one foot, unless you're going to the basket, once you move that one foot, then this automatically becomes your pivot foot, automatically. Now, it could be that once you caught the ball, you started moving this foot, and that means this becomes your pivot foot, and you can go all the way around, it doesn't matter where you go, as long as you keep that foot stationary, to make any kind of pass. Next, your next option in the triple threat position, from the triple threat position is taking a simple shot. If you've got that triple threat position, you can shoot it right from where you are, right from where you are, but you want to make sure that if you're taking a shot from the triple threat position that you don't have defense on you, or that you have enough room where you can get the shot off, so that you can get a clear, concise shot, and you get a responsible shot. Third option, the third option in the triple threat is driving to the basket. Now, if you catch the ball here, and you're in triple threat position, what you can do is if you read your defense, read your defensive man, you can drive that person to the basket either one way or the other. But, from that position, that's your third option. Triple threat is to be able to dribble. That gives you the option of going whichever way you need to go, drive to the basket, drive to the basket make a pass to shoot off, whatever you need to do, but there you have it, the triple threat position. Try that and I guarantee you, your game will improve."
