"People often stop me on the street and ask me about my opinions on this gadget or that gadget. Why? Well, I'm Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert. And one thing that I can tell you about are the new features on the iPhone 3G, to which, on the hardware, there are plenty. On the software, firmware, it just doesn't stop. So let me tell you about a few of them. We'll start from the front over here. You'll notice that the home button is still a major featured item. You still have your three and a half inch real estate as far as a blazing large screen. Perhaps the most striking feature is it's got a sculptured, contour front, which actually makes it a little bit easier to hold in your hand, and not as slippery. I found the other iPhones slipping out of my hands, and playing hot potato to catch the darn thing. This one makes it nice. Plus it also comes in white, so if you're very style conscious. One of the things to notice too is that the eight gig version comes only in version, while sixteen comes in black and white. So if you see a white phone, it has to be sixteen gigs. What does that mean to you? Probably absolutely nothing. Probably people choose it because it goes with things. Why I chose white--well, I want everybody to know I've got sixteen gigs. All right, some of the other things to take a peak at over on the top here, is that thank you, Apple, thank you, they've redesigned the headphone port jack here, so that it can take any kind of headphone. Before you had to get a very special thing, or buy an adapter. Up in the front is your sleep/wake button, which does pretty much that--wakes and sleeps the unit. And on the bottom, they do have a redesigned speaker and microphone system. You've got a little bit better fidelity and nice little punch, and little bit easier read. They went ahead and upgraded to metal buttons on the side for volume. Where the rubber hits the road with this is the two dot oh software slash firmware update, which allows, well, first of all, GPS on the system, which is nice, and applications can integrate to that. Games, games, games, games, games, and perhaps where it gets its name from the 3G protocol, which means this guy's blazing at twice the speed that it was underneath the original iPhone. So you can access the Internet, access emails, social networking, twice as fast. Being able to download, use protocols with different banks and institutions. You wouldn't believe the big businesses that have jumped on board to provide apps for direct portals to this little guy. So, this is just the beginning. Use your Apple, get it out there, download some apps, and have some fun. So when everybody asks you on the street what are the features of the 3G, you can tell them, just like I did, Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert. Stream you later."
