Video Transcript

"Hi this is Sifu Tei continuing our series on womens' self defense. We are going to go into a different type of headlock. This headlock is one that someone will get from the side across here. The first thing you do is you bring your arm back pushing back to the chin or throat, pulling the person back, then you bring your leg behind and sweep the person out. So what is important for this move is that you bring the arm out and you want to get the hand in like a tiger claw position pulling the throat back and that is going to release the grip right away and you bring the leg out and sweep them out. Okay, again. That is how you get out of a headlock. Let's go through it slow. So again grabbing headlock here. I grab my wrist here. Notice she is grabbing the wrist here to release some pressure from the headlock then pulling my head back, kick out. The second the person grabs hold of your neck you are going to let go right away as soon as the neck is pushed back and that is how you get out of a headlock from the side."
