"You know there are many common insects that bite us throughout our daily course of life. Hi, I am Captain Joe Bruni and what I'm going to talk about is the bite incurred from the common fire ant. Fire ants usually attack in great numbers. Causing a great deal of pain and discomfort. Many times these bites are followed within twenty four hours by small pustules that form at every bite site location. These pustules should not be broken by popping the blister or scratching. Apply some type of antiseptic and over the counter hydra cortisone to help relief itching as this occurs. The body part could be elevated to help reduce swelling or ice can be applied. In intervals of anywhere from ten minutes on to twenty minutes on and off. For the same length of time. If secondary infection occurs medical attention will be sought. Few things are as painful and irritating as the common fire ant bite injury. With a couple simple basic steps of cleaning the area and applying some type of anti itch or anti inflammatory cream like hydra cortisone. This can bring relief. I am Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe and we'll see you next time."
