"Hi my name is Ashley Ludman from Seaside Yoga here to address the question of what is the salary of a pilates instructor? Well that is going to range depending on where you live the country, supply and demand, if there is a lot of pilates teachers in your area, you may have to be competing with some great teachers for some of the same students so typically depending on what type of location and where you choose to work will depend on how you are paid. If you are teaching in a gym based setting, you may be paid per class. In our area the class ranges from $20 to $25 in a gym area per class and if you are working with individual clients you may get more of a percentage of the revenue from that client so for example if a client is paying $50 for a personal pilates session and you are taking 60% of that you will get $30. So it all depends on what type of setting, the type of instructor that you are, if you are your own instructor and you have found a place or you are willing to teach from your house, then you get to set your rate and you get to keep the salary that you bring in based on your expenses that you put out. So it is just like any other fitness individual, supply, demand, location, what you are willing to work for and the types of clients you are willing to see and that is in a nutshell the salary of a pilates instructor."
