"If you are stopping and you know the snow cover is really thin you can't go digging your edge in all the way really hard. If you don't want to destroy your board, but if you don't care then that's fine. To stop if there is really like a few inches of snow cover you have to drag that stop out way longer which means that you have to think of everything else in advanced because there is rocks underneath and there is all types of stuff and it will destroy your edge and edges are not cheap to fix. So you've definitely got to think of that and think of your board edge as something that is kind of irreplaceable because it can be fixed but it doesn't go back to being brand new like it was and so it is a little more messed up than you had your edge before you hit that rock that you didn't know about."
