on 7/27/2009 I would suggest upgrading Trailer Hitch and Receivers. The information presented is wrong. The chains must be crossed to prevent polevaulting if the trailer comes loose from the hitch and also the connecting hooks must have spring locks on them or rubber locke over the S hoocks to prevent them from coming off.

"Next we're going to get ready to line the truck with the trailer, but we have to install the Receiver Hitch first. This way we can, we're going to back the ball on the Receiver right under the hitch on the trailer. One thing you want to make sure is that this ball matches the tongue on your trailer. There's various size of balls, this one is the larger, it's 2 5/16, the trailer could be 1 7/8 it could be a 2 inch. What I like to do is keep the pin and all this together so you're never searching for a pin when you need to hook up to a trailer, and there's different kinds of Receiver Tubes you can buy. Depending on the height of your vehicle when the trailer's hooked up you want to keep the trailer level with the vehicle. So if you have a lift on your vehicle, or a Pickup that sits up really high, you may want this to drop down further. If you have one that's really low, you might want one that comes barely, mainly straight like this one, doesn't drop much at all, and you just want to make sure you pick out the right one, so that trailer's going to tow level. It's going to give you the safest towing and better gas mileage, which we can always use. Just going to slide this into the tube, line up the hole in the Receiver with the hole in the Receiver Tube, put your pin on that side. We're good to go."
