"In this section I'm going to show you why it's important to press out and smooth the wax after you've ironed it on initially. It's important because if you press it out smoothly, it scrapes off more evenly and helps the wax sink into the fibers of the base a little bit. O.k., so after you wax the board just by initially waxing it, you're going to want to take your iron, press down on the wax and smooth it all out across the base. Press it down pretty hard. Then, you want to take your iron, press down pretty hard and smooth it out. As you can see I'm pressing down pretty hard and getting the wax really into the base. And that's how your going to smooth the wax into your base. Once you're done with that, you're going to want to set down your iron and turn it off so you can't burn yourself on it later. Then you're going to want to leave your wax to cool for a couple of minutes before you scrape."
