"In this section I'm going to show you the proper technique for heating up your iron. First thing you want to make sure you have your tuning iron not your Mother's iron because the holes will have to get clogged with the wax and not wax the board properly. And what you're going to want to do is turn your dial or however your iron turns on up until it can get hot enough to melt the wax. Then you're just going to make sure it can melt the wax by touching it to it and it'll drip off. And sometimes before you start waxing to make sure you've got all the old stuff off you're going to take your heated iron and just melt over some of the old stuff so you can scrape it off a little better base cleaning doesn't usually get it all off. Alright then what you're going to do when you start waxing is you're going to want to take your iron and hold it above the snowboard and touch it with your bar of wax and your wax will begin to drip off. And you're just going to want to make a steady stream of dots or a line, zigzag across the board. Once your iron is getting hot and it can melt the wax onto your snowboard and it drips all over it that's when you know you can begin waxing your snowboard."
