Hi this is John Stewart and this is how to find shelter if you need to survive in nature. Say you get stranded, have a car accident you're out in the woods. You get lost and you don't have any gear or anything like a tent or something like that. You need to find shelter and cover. So that you have some barrier between you and the elements. The easiest way and first thing you can think of is finding a cave. If you find a cave, try and snoop around in it but make sure there's nothing in there. Look for tracks leading into the cave. Toss some rocks in there and see if you stir anything up cause you don't want to go in there with an animal cause that's its home and not yours. If you can't find a cave the next best thing to do is to build a shelter. To build a shelter it can be something as basic as a lean to shelter. Piling some stick up to where you have something that can cover you up over the night. To where your protected form the elements wind, rain and other things. Just in case you have a poncho, spare tarp something basic like that. You can build a very basic shelter like that. That'll protect you from the rain to where you can just stay out of the elements but the first thing you always want to do, is you want to find somewhere that you can stay. To be hidden and protected from elements. Stay out of animals ways and stuff like that. In case you have to survive in nature and that's how to find shelter in case you have to survive in nature.
