Hey guys, in today's topic we are going to discuss what equipment is needed to become a DJ. In a basic DJ setup, of course we need a line mixer or a DJ style mixer and a set of headphones. We are also going to need sound sources such as turntables or CD players. Taking it to the next level, we are also going to need a pair of speakers. Something to hear the sound source coming out. Now, if you want to become a producer DJ, you are going to need a few other things. A couple of Midi controllers, such as a keyboard controller or a jump pad controller. And, maybe a Macintosh computer and some programs that allow you to remix and rework musics. So, that way you can create your own different remixes and music to take into the clubs at night. Maybe an audio interface in case you want to plug a microphone in, or a guitar, or a bass, or whatnot. And, this will hook up to the computer. In this case, we have got a Macintosh G5 computer that runs my different various audio editing programs. In all, it allows us to be able to remix and make our own music. And then, play it live from our DJ setup at night in the club.
