"Another knot that can be used for a similar application as the prusik knot is the klemheist. It's really pretty much a variation on it. To make this knot, you start with your sling just as you did for the prusik knot, and you start by just putting it over the rope and rather than passing each end through, you start to wrap. So you wrap this end around, you can start with the, this lip top. And you wrap this around, it's also a knot that you need to be careful not to get things twisted. And it's also like the prusik in that there's a good number to use as far as the wrapping goes. After you're done wrapping it, you have this loop and then the rest of your sling loop and then you just pass it through there, and you send the knot through. You want to make sure everything's not twisted again, and you have your klemheist. It works the same way. It doesn't bind as well in, in both directions as the prusik, which is why I tend to favor the prusik when I'm using it for these applications."
