"A knot that is very similar to the bowline knot, is the Sheet Bend. It's another example of a knot that it's just tied in a different way, and it's given a different name. The Sheet Bend is used to join two ropes together, similar to the square knot, but the difference is , the ropes that you use in the Sheet Bend, can be different sizes, so you have your larger, thicker rope, and your thinner rope, so the way I like to tie a Sheet Bend, is just like you tie a bowline. You have the rope that is attached to whatever you might want it to be attached to, and you have the short end of the rope, and then you have your thicker rope. Thicker rope goes in, and just through. You notice the thicker rope is just a U, and the thinner rope forms kind of that cross thing, that forms the Sheet Bend."
