"In this clip we're going to talk about how to do a foot massage. Foot massages are very important in your dog for a couple of reasons. First of all you want to get them used to having your hands around their nails so you can easily cut the nails. If they're not pulling away and they're used to your hands there, they're going to let you cut them. Also the Ting points are on the nails, and what the Ting points are, are the meridians. There's twelve major meridians in the body and they all either end or start in the front or the back feet. An easy way to do it is start on top of each toe and just roll your fingers down. And just come off each nail, and you can also give a little pull to each toe, not forgetting that dewclaw, and you can also stretch the toes. You can also take your finger into the pad of the paw and sometimes they'll stretch out their entire foot for you. And then you want to make sure to repeat that process on the back feet."
