Video Transcript

"This exercise is called plank with leg lifts. And the purpose of this exercise is to really engage the core first of all, and then incorporate the entire rest of the body with this exercise. I like to call this the king of all exercises. And you can perform it right in your own home on your stairs. So you want to come up to your step, place your hands, oh directly underneath your shoulders, and you want to put your feet together, tuck your pelvis under, pull your shoulder blades back and lengthen out through the crown of your head. And just breathe in and out, nice and calmly, filling your lungs up with breath. Now to make this a little more challenging, lift up one leg and hold. And even in this position, you can move your leg up and down just to add a little bit more spice in those gluts. And your core is working this entire time. And then perform about thirty seconds to a minute on one side, and switch to the other side. Just think of yourself as a nice, long, steady plank. And then when you're finished, just gently roll out of it. Those are your planks with leg lifts."
