How to Honor a Pastor

"I want to talk to you, about how to honor a pastor. I think it is important to understand, that pastors are sent by God. They are the people that God has set in place, over specific congregations, and groups of believers, and in order to honor a pastor, one must lift him in high esteem. Now understand, that's he's just a person, he or she, but they are a person sent and set in place, by God, so honor is the key, and one of the ways that we honor, is simply by being faithful. Being faithful to the man or the woman of God, that you are under, and that is a pastor, a shepherd for your soul, and understanding that when we obey, and when we are faithful to that man or to that woman, that is a form of honor, and also respect. Respect is one of the highest forms of honor,and so when we respect and when we obey, and when we are faithful to our pastor, that man or that woman, that God has set us under. Several specific ways that you can honor your pastor, are an offering, receiving an offering for him, a card shower. There are different ways of just showing appreciation, perhaps an appreciation banquet. You know, October is the month for appreciation of pastors, so perhaps something special could be done in the month of October. There are several ways that you can honor your pastor, and when doing these things. You esteem him in high regard, simply giving honor, to whom honor is due, as the Bible says."
