"Lets talk about how to pick up dog poop, or fecal material. Dogs can have parasites and so it's important to be sanitary when dealing with you know fecal material from dogs. Round worms can infect kids, that's an environment, giardia parasites like that can infect you so you do want to be very careful. So cleanliness is a great thing. A couple of things to keep in mind, one is very simple to do, the easiest thing is to just use a regular ziplock type of bag or sandwich bag and if you are outside on a long walk on a sidewalk and your dog defecates it's real easy to do. So you take your bag you invert it and then pick up the fecal material and as you do so close the bag back over and then seal it and discard that in a waste disposal system. If you don't have that you can do the same sort of thing with a just a latex glove that you can get anywhere, you can, these are very easy because you can pick up the material that way and throw your glove over the top of it and tie the end piece off and toss that as well. So just keep clean, wash your hands after doing so anyway just to be on the safe side."
