"The flick serve is a variant of the backhand serve. The goal of the flick serve, is to do a fast backhand strike, of the shuttle, in order to lob your opponent, and have the shuttle fall on the doubles service line, at the back of the court. The grip on the racket, is identical to the one demonstrated for the backhand serve. Position of the body, is identical. The goal is to not show your opponent which type of serve you're going to do, try to the stroke, so the stroke is identical, but instead of doing a gentle stroke, just to flick the shuttle over the net, I'm going to do a power stroke to flick the shuttle, at the back of the net."
