"Where do reptiles lay their eggs? There's a couple different places reptiles like to lay their eggs, it depends on the reptile and the species. Most lizards are going to look for, like, some sort of sandy, or moist soil that they can dig into and lay their eggs in, and then bury 'em. A lot of people use sand for that, that's been moistened, or they use a coco fiber, which is what this is. Something that's soft, easily...easy to dig, holds moisture well. Vermiculite is also very popular. And then some animals, like, like, say snakes, that lay eggs, they don't do that so much. But they, what they do is they find a burrow, so what we have here is a kind of a commercial burrow that you can purchase. And they'll go in there. And you'd want to pack that with a little bit of like, say, this stuff. And moisten it down so it's nice and moist. And they'll go in there and they'll lay their eggs, and that's where their eggs will go, and will be nice and safe. You can then, after a reptile's laid it's eggs, generally we take those out of the cage, and we will incubate the eggs separately, away from the animal. That's going to create the optimum hatch rate, as it allows you to control the humidity and temperature for the incubation a lot better than you would inside of the cage environment. So really, you got kind of a couple different choices. It really depends on the reptile we're talking about. Some of them like to dig holes and lay their eggs and then buy them. Some of them like to find burrows and lay their eggs in the burrow. It really just depends on the individual reptile."
