"Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics. And I'm going to talk to you a little bit about how to prevent wrinkles around the eye. One of the most important things that you can do is to get a really good eye cream. Something that's really hydrating. The skin around the eye is the thinnest and most delicate skin on your entire body. And it's the most susceptible to fine lines and aging because of the fact that it's so thin and it lacks moisture. So, just by using a really good treatment cream, just putting a little bit on your ring finger, just kind of pat it around the orbital bone. And then you just take it and you rub it in a clockwise direction really gently. This'll help to prevent lines and wrinkles, 'cause it's going to keep that moisture barrier really nice and intact. Another thing that you can do is to wear sunglasses and sunscreen. Make sure you have something with sunscreen around the eye. You want to minimize any squinting, or anything like that, 'cause over time those repeated expressions around....making those expression lines can actually lead to lines and wrinkles, 'cause it breaks the collagen and elastin. You also want to, if you try when you sleep, not to sleep on your face and scrunch your eyes into the pillow. 'Cause if you sleep like this, it's going to, over time, kind of break that collagen-elastin and lead to lines and wrinkles. So those are some things that you can do to prevent lines and wrinkles around the eye."
