"Hi, I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and makeup artist at Ulta Salon and cosmetics, and I'm going to talk to you a little about hiding acne scars. One thing that you can do before you even go about hiding them is you can use a lightening product to help to lighten them up so they're not so hard to cover. This is a two percent hydroquinone treatment gel. Basically, hydroquinone helps to lighten any discolorations and prevent melanin from causing hyperpigmentation and causing new discolorations. So, using a product like this twice a day. Follow it up by a moisturizer and a really good sunscreen. This can help to lighten any discolorations. The next thing you want to do is get a really good concealer. This is a concealing pencil. It's a 24/7 wear, so it's smudge-proof, crease-proof, and waterproof, because you want something that's going to cover really well, but also not shift or cake on you. So, what you can do is just take a little bit of this, and you're just going to kinda' tap it on. And you want to just take your finger and kind of work in a rolling and pressing motion, and you can see by doing that how it causes the concealer to blend in with the skin, but it also covers. If you rub what happens a lot of times is you end up rubbing that concealer off, and also that can inflame the skin and cause a lot of redness which makes it harder to cover. So, just by doing a patting and rolling motion it's going to adhere the concealer to the skin, and it's going to give you really great coverage. So, those are some things that you can do to help to hide acne scars."
