How to Shower After Tanning

"Hi, I'm Harvey Woodyatt, owner of Perfect Tan, here in Orem, Utah. We're a full service tanning salon. We have over twenty tanning beds, and this is our state-of-the-art spray-on tanning system. People often ask me, you know, can I shower after I tan, or even after my spray tan? What do you recommend? Really, with tanning it doesn't matter. You could actually go home and shower, and a lot of people like to do that because they get really sweaty while they tan. So, if you're tanning at a traditional tanning bed; yes, you can shower any time. It's not going to affect your UVA tan. Now, if you're doin' a spray-on tanning system like we have here you're going to definitely want to wait at least six hours before you get into the shower. You don't want to, you know, you don't want to get your body moist at all or wet, because it'll ruin the tan, so we always suggest to people wait at least six hours. If they can wait until the next day that's great. A lot of people will sleep overnight, and tan the next day. The longer you wait the better the results, but definitely within six hours you can take a a shower even with the spray tan. UVA tan; you can shower anytime."
