"One thing you can do with a sampler is you can loop the sample. Say you have a clip of a note of an instrument and you want it to last longer than it does. You can do a thing called cross-fade looping with the sampler and I'll show you how to do that. I'm using the same sample we used for the last clip just to keep things familiar. This knob right there, this is called "CRF". When you do that these two red lines are going to show up. Those red lines are the loop points. Notice when you do that, this thing up here lights up. That's because what it automatically does is it sets it to use the loop points so that when I turn it on and hold it, it loops for as long as I hold it. I can also turn off loop points and just have it run through like that. But that is generally what you want to do when you want to loop something like that. This sample doesn't really demonstrate how it's useful for melodic stuff, but it also demonstrates that you can use it for non-melodic stuff to make more creative instrumentation and sound effects."
